The Vivo X100s we have in hand is the 16+1TB version. One of the stand-out features of the Vivo X100s in terms of appearance is the replacement of the curved screen with a flat screen, with no plastic bracket, ultra-narrow bezels, and a thickness of 7.8mm. The screen adopts a classic centered punch-hole design, with the borders visually estimated to be of equal width, although the lower border appears slightly wider than the upper one. The overall visual effect of the screen is excellent, and the border design also effectively prevents accidental touches. Check more specifications at Gsmarena.
In terms of screen specifications, there is almost no difference compared to the Vivo X100. It boasts a peak brightness of up to 3000 nits, supports a 2160Hz high-frequency dimming, and offers a resolution of 1.5K. It supports adaptive refresh rates from 1 to 120Hz and utilizes 8T LTPO backplane technology, ensuring smoother display of dynamic content and swift adjustments in refresh rates. Additionally, it can achieve a 1Hz low refresh rate across all scenarios for power saving.
In our testing, the screen brightness can reach 2635 nits, covering 114.22% of the P3 color gamut, making it easily visible in bright outdoor conditions, and providing visual enhancement effects for a more vivid viewing experience when watching videos.
The Antutu score of the vivo X100s we have is 2279525, the CPU score is 533684, and the GPU score is 915712; in the storage test, the sequential read speed is 4286.3MB/s, the sequential write speed is 3881.3MB/s, the total score to 228,797 points.
The Dimensity 9300+ by MediaTek is a brand-new flagship processor that was just released last week. The Vivo X100s series is the only one on the market that is equipped with this flagship processor. It utilizes TSMC’s third-generation 4nm process technology and features four Cortex-X4 super large cores, one of which has main frequency up to 3.4GHz and four Cortex-A720 large cores. For the GPU, the Dimensity 9300+ integrates Arm’s Immortalis-G720, which supports in-game ray tracing technology.
For game test, let’s focus on the performance in “Genshin Impact”. It is tested in a room with a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, using the PChome standard benchmarking test combined with 30 minutes of gameplay involving both exploration and combat, the average frame rate achieved is 59.49 frames per second. Throughout the game, there were no frame rate caps imposed. While there were fluctuations in frame rates during map transitions, they remained above 45 frames per second, imperceptible to the naked eye, providing a consistently smooth and seamless gaming experience.
In terms of power consumption, it registered at 4.69W, indicating an impressively efficient power usage. As for heat dissipation, the highest temperature recorded on the front reached 44.2 degrees Celsius, while on the back it reached a maximum of 43 degrees Celsius.
In terms of battery life, the Vivo X100s adopts Blue Ocean battery technology and continues to utilize a dual-cell battery setup. The battery capacity has been slightly increased from 5000mAh to 5100mAh. After 3 hours test, the remaining battery capacity is about 62%. It’s worth noting that this performance doesn’t particularly stand out among other flagship models.
For the charging speed, Vivo X100s is equipped with 100W Dual-Core FlashCharge technology. According to the test, the device charged to 26% in 5 minutes from 0%, 51% in 10 minutes, and 100% in just 29 minutes.
